The Society for Technical Communication (STC) is a professional society of individuals skilled in communicating technical content. Members include writers, editors, Web developers, designers, graphic artists, and translators. The Houston Chapter of STC was formed in 1962 and provides networking, employment, volunteer, and educational opportunities.

Competition Is Here…Certification Is Coming

Join us for a discussion of the Competitions process this year, and the Society plans for Technical Communication Certification, which is coming in the near future. We are excited to hold our first meeting of the 2010-2011 program year at a new facility for us, the American Red Cross (on the north side of US 59, between Kirby and Buffalo Speedway). Stephanie Donovan Receives Person of the Year Award

We celebrated our 2009-2010 accomplishments at our June 8th program meeting and recognized our volunteers and award winners. Stephanie Donovan was recognized for all she did in so many roles, including Programs, Arrangements, and Secretary. Thank you Stephanie!!

The online forms and dues information for new memberships and renewals are now available. STC has made payment easier by offering an option to break up the fees into 3 equal monthly installments.
