Forum restructure

It would be nice to have a overall general discussion area and it would be great if we could get rid of all the posts that are over a year old.

On the events area of the forums I do not see any mention of the annual competition and entry deadlines.

The ideas you propose are under consideration.

First, a proposal to remove older material was presented to the Houston Administrative board, and was taken under serious consideration. As of today, the forum is considered as a storage location meant to preserve information. Nonetheless, I’d like to inform all members of the forum that the Houston STC Forum software allows the original poster of the topic to delete his or her individual post. If that person, sees no further use for the topic they are at will to remove it from the fora.

Ostensibly, a general discussion area sound like a great idea. I'd like to get more of an understanding as to its intent. Personally, I'd would like to avoid having a miscellaneous area because; I feel that the fora (categories) provided align strongly with the professional interest of the Houston STC community. However, if the community demands an increase in fora (the individual areas of interest that are listed on the Forum), I’m happy to supply those categories based on demand and management approval.

Your recommendation regarding the advertising of the Annual STC Competitions is a fabulous idea, and I will coordinate that with the management of that event.
