Special Interest Groups (SIGs)

The STC Houston chapter offers two local SIGs.

Consultants & Independent Contractors (CIC) SIG

The CIC SIG is devoted to promoting consulting and independent contracting for technical communicators. The SIG meets monthly, publishes a Contractor's Guide, and furnishes job leads via email.

Online Documentation SIG

The Online SIG is devoted to examining techniques, methodologies, and tools for communicating information online. Discussions can include how to write, plan, organize, and navigate using Windows Help, HTML Help, HTML, SGML, Acrobat, and native file formats.
